I grew up right here in the Treasure Valley. My journey with Supportive Housing & Innovative Partnerships (SHIP) began in 2008 when I first became a resident, and again in 2015. During that second stay, I stepped into the role of house manager before moving out in September 2017. At the time, I was working in Nampa, but I found myself missing SHIP and reached out to see if there were any office opportunities. I joined the team in 2018 as the Administrative Assistant, transitioned to Men’s Housing Liaison in late 2021, and in February 2023, I stepped into my current role as Finance Manager. Working in the nonprofit world—especially with SHIP—has been deeply personal and incredibly rewarding. Having walked through recovery myself, I’m passionate about creating second chances for others. I believe in meeting people where they’re at and helping them find stability, purpose, and hope. Being part of a team that supports people on their journey to sobriety and self-sufficiency isn’t just a job—it’s something I care about with my whole heart. Outside of work, I love taking road trips with my son and our dog, Mac. He’s a big, lovable pit bull with a grain allergy and an even bigger personality. Mac occasionally joins me at the office, where he’s earned the nickname “Meathead” and has quickly become a staff favorite. I also enjoy swimming and could probably eat sushi every day if given the chance. A fun fact about me: I got a tattoo in 2023 that was meant to be the Roman numerals of my son’s birthday—but I didn’t double-check the design before the needle started, and now I’ve got a permanent typo on my arm.
